Regan Places 2nd at NCAA Regional's

Stevens Institute of Technology sophomore Amy Regan finished second overall Saturday to lead Empire 8 runners at the 2013 Division III Atlantic Regional's held at Letchworth State Park.  SUNY Geneseo hosted the event with 38 teams and 269 runners over the 6K course.

Regan came within eight seconds of claiming the individual title with a time of 21:15.1 and bested her ninth place finish from last fall at the same meet. RPI's Grace Tilton finished ahead of Regan at 21:07.0. 

As a team Ithaca led the Empire 8 field with a sixth place finish.  Stevens was 15th followed by Nazareth (19th), St. John Fisher College (23rd), Utica (24th) and Hartwick (28th).

Ithaca graduate student Jenn Randall clocked a career-best time of 21:24.60 to place fourth.  Joining Regan and Randall on the all-region team was Utica sophomore Ashton Villeneuve who clocked a final time of 21:42 to place 10th and Ithaca junior Alexa Rick with a 35th-place finish of 22:37.00.
