10 Field Hockey Players Named All-Region
Ten Empire 8 Athletic Conference field hockey student-athletes were named to the 2013 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-Region Teams. Three conferences comprise the North Atlantic Region and the Empire 8 had the second most honorees. Liberty League led the way with 13 and SUNYAC had nine selections.
Of the 10 honorees, five were first team selections and five were second team. Utica College, the Empire 8 Champions, led the league with four selections, followed by Stevens Institute of Technology with two. Hartwick, Ithaca, St. John Fisher and Washington and Jefferson each had one student-athlete honored.
