Nazareth evened its overall record at 2-2. The Golden Flyers play again Tuesday at Alfred State at 6 p.m. Cazenovia is 0-3.

Roberts Wesleyan 84, Houghton 59
Hot long-range shooting and a sizable rebounding advantage were two key factors in an 84-59 Roberts Wesleyan win over the Highlanders in women's basketball action Thursday night.
The NCAA Division II Redhawks had the Highlanders on their heels early, jumping out to an 11-0 lead in the game's first four minutes. But Houghton didn't falter, and slowly chipped away at the lead throughout the half. A jumper by
Hannah Fink brought Houghton to within seven (20-13) midway through the half and after an exchange of buckets, Houghton reeled off seven-straight points to pull within four (24-20) at the seven minute mark and cut it to two (30-28) with just four minutes left in the half. But a Roberts' three pointer stopped the Houghton run and started an 11-0 run by the Redhawks, who took a 41-28 lead into the locker room.
The Highlanders were able to close the gap to seven (48-41) on a
Kristen Moose 3-pointer, but another three by the hosts put the lead back to double digits. Houghton would get no closer than eight the rest of the way, and Roberts continued to rain threes to stretch the advantage to as many as 26.
Roberts finished the game with a 54-34 rebounding advantage and hit on 11-of-32 shots from long range. The Redhawks shot 39 percent from the field overall, while Houghton finished at a 33 percent clip. The Highlanders hit 6-of-18 three pointers and were 15-for-25 from the charity stripe.
Moose once again led the way with 21 points and 13 rebounds.
Stephany Ellison added 13 points, four rebounds and four assists, while
Maisie Pipher chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.
