Fisher Falls Short Against SUNY Oneonta

The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team came up just short Saturday falling 67-65 to host Oneonta State.
Chaz Lott made a layup with :49 seconds remaining to cut Oneonta's lead to 67-65. After a defensive stand, Fisher took a timeout with :14 seconds play. Lott drove into the lane with under five seconds to play and kicked it out to Adam Ambielli in the corner for a 3-pointer but the shot was partially blocked to seal the victory for the Red Dragons.
Fisher had a 34-32 lead at halftime. Coming out of the break, Keegan Ryan scored the first five points of the half to put Fisher up 39-34.
Ambielli knocked down a 3-pointer at the 16:47 mark to give Fisher its largest lead of the half, 42-35, but Oneonta would slowly chip away at that margin.
The Red Dragons took the lead at the 11 minute mark, 50-48, when Jackson Zuvic knocked down a jumper. Fisher tied the game at 52 apiece at the 7:30 mark but Oneonta would score the next basket and would not relinquish the lead again.
Tyler Hart connected on his first three-pointer of the game to give Fisher a 14-12 lead midway through the first half. Hart was 3-for-5 from the field in the first half, making all three 3-pointers he attempted.
The rest of the first half would remain close with Stefan Bock scoring eight of the last 12 points for Fisher, to help guide the Cardinals to a 34-32 halftime lead.
Ryan, the reigning Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the week, recorded his second double-double of the year with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Bock poured in 14 points along with two steals. Hart finished the game with 11 points.
With the loss Fisher drops to 3-3 overall.
