Bethany Runs Past Fisher
The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team suffered a 79-52 loss to undefeated Bethany College on Wednesday night at Fisher's Bobby Wanzer Court.
With the loss, Fisher falls to 3-4, while the Bison improve to 8-0.
Bethany jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the opening three minutes and led 28-18 midway through the first half. Fisher cut the led to seven at 30-23 with 5:52 left on a traditional three-point-play from
Chaz Lott, but the Bison closed out the period with a 12-1 run to take a 42-24 lead at intermission.
Fisher struggled shooting the ball, connecting on just 1-of-16 from 3-point range.
Stefan Bock recorded his first double-double, tallying 12 points and 12 rebounds. Lott poured in 10 points and added four assists.
Fisher will return to action in the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Tournament. The Cardinals will play Southern Maine at 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 29
th and will host Thomas College the following day at 3 p.m.
