Coppolecchia, Gray Named D3Soccer.com All-Americans

Anna Gray (Bethlehem, N.Y./Delmar) and sophomore goalkeeper
Beth Coppolecchia (Katonah, N.Y./Somers) were named
D3Soccer.com All-Americans Friday, marking the 29th and 30th all-America selections in the history of the program. Coppolecchia earned a first-team selection, and was named the D3Soccer.com Goalkeeper of the Year. She is the second-straight Bomber to earn the honor, following
Becca Salant (Holliston, Mass./Holliston)'s selection in 2012. Gray was named to the third team.
Coppolecchia started every game for the Bombers this season, compiling a record of 19-3-0. She ranked first in the Empire 8 with a .420 goals-against-average and a .909 save percentage. She also ranked first in the conference with 10 shutouts, and was named E8 Defensive Player of the Week three times in 2013. She allowed only nine goals and made 90 saves in 22 games played.
Coppolecchia shut out defending national champion Messiah in the NCAA Playoffs, helping the Bombers reach the Elite Eight for the fifth time in seven seasons and the first time since 2011.
Gray, a two-time Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year selection, finished the season with four goals and two assists in 22 starts for the Bombers. She anchored a defense that held opponents to just nine goals all season, helping the Bombers record 15 shutouts on the year.
Gray earned an All-East Region selection for three-straight seasons, taking first-team honors in 2011 and 2013 and a second-team selection in 2012.
