Buckner and Randolph Tabbed ECAC Athletes of the Week

St. John Fisher senior Camaryn Buckner and Elmira junior Neil Randolph were named the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Upstate Players of the Week for the week of Nov. 25-Dec.1. 

Buckner helped lead the St. John Fisher College women's basketball team to a 2-1 record last week including a runner-up finish in the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Invitational. Buckner scored 11 points and pulled down eight rebounds in an 84-50 win over John Jay. Buckner also scored 26 points and had nine rebounds and two blocks against Union College, earning her a spot on the All-Tournament team. Earlier in the week, Buckner posted a double-double in a 44-34 win over Medaille with 11 points and 13 rebounds.


Randolph led the Soaring Eagles to their third straight win of the year as Elmira defeated Oberlin, 73-71. Randolph scored a game-high 29 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including two made three pointers. He also went 10-for-10 from the free throw line. He scored six of Elmira's final nine points of the game, knocking down back-to-back free throws with three seconds left to seal a two point win for Elmira.
