Bomber Invitational Comes to a Close
The men's swimming & diving teams finished the third day of the Bomber Invite Sunday afternoon.

Clement Towner (Lansing, N.Y./Lansing) finished first amongst the Bomber men in the 1650-yard freestyle, placing eighth with a time of 17:20.56. Junior
Peter Knight (Hyde Park, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt) and senior
John Carr (Brewster, N.Y./Brewster) both earned top-10 finishes in the 100-yard freestyle. Knight finished fifth with a time of 48.16 while Carr earned a seventh-place mark in a time of 48.31.
In the final event of the meet, Ithaca finished second in the 4x100-yard freestyle relay. Knight, Carr,
Addison Hebert (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton) and Zach Kundel earned the second-place finish, completing the race in 3:09.64.

Brad Ranson (Pennington, NY/Hopewell Valley) had the best performance with a third place finish in the 100 free as he posted a time of 48.02. He was also a part of the 400 free relay team along with
Evan DeGidio(Jacksonville, FL/Episcopal School),
Joey Mulvehill (Penfield, NY/Penfield), and
Luis Santiesteban (Key Largo, FL) that came in fourth with a time of 3:12.74.
In the 1650 free event,
Luke Grunewald (New Windsor, NY/Newburgh Free Acad.) came in fourth in a time of 16:36. 87.
Brendan Quinn (Raleigh, NC/Heritage) placed fifth (16:57.93) and
Nick Mosconi (Gloversville, NY/Gloversville)was seventh (17:10.88).
Matt Plunkett (Fort Lauderdale, FL/Cooper City) came in eighth in the 200 back (1:56.87) while
Brian Edmister III(Belmont, NY/Genesee Valley Central) was 11
th (1:58.43).
Jeremy Torres (Poulsbo, WA/Central Kitsap) placed seventh in the 200 breast (2:11.05).

On Sunday, juniors Zac Toth (Lockport, NY/Starpoint) and
Dave Coombes (Dansville, NY/Dansville) led the Saxons with top-10 finishes. Toth took ninth in the 200 backstroke (1:57.36) and Coombes was 10
th in the 100 freestyle (48.42).
Other top performers for AU were: senior Pete Sowinski (Akron, NY/Akron) and junior
David Luke (Ocala, FL/West Port), 14
th (48.89) and 22
nd (49.83), respectively, in the 100 free; and junior Joe Rogers (Dublin, NH) and sophomore
Sheldon Vosburgh (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie), 12
th (17:46.39) and 20
th(18:39.20), respectively, in the 1,650 free.
The team of Luke, Toth, Coombes and Sowinski was third in the 400 free relay (3:12.20).
