Stevens Leads After Day 2; Geyer Hits NCAA-A Cut

Stevens had one NCAA A-cut, eight NCAA B-cuts, two championship-bests and one school-record on the second day of competition to move into first place on the leader board.
The Ducks have totaled 416 points, while Ithaca is in second place with 395 points and Hartwick is in third (305).
Stevens sophomore Brittany Geyer had a remarkable swim in the 400-IM final to set a new school-record and championship record with an NCAA A-cut time of 4:24.02, beating both previous bests by well over two seconds. Ithaca's Carly Jones placed second in the event in 4:28.58, which was an NCAA B qualifying standard. Stevens freshman Elizabeth Heinbach placed third with a B-cut (4:29.85).
Stevens 200-yard freestyle relay of Nicole Miller, April Lawsome, Jennifer Rutledge and Louise Moores opened the night with a winning B-cut time of 1:35.24. Ithaca placed second (1:37.63) followed by Hartwick (1:38.18).
Moores carded another B-cut and placed first in the 100-yard butterfly (56.40). She was followed by Alfred freshman Carly Watson (58.40) and Stevens Maria McClure (58.75).
Hartwick sophomore Jade Woodend continue to dominate the freestyle as she won her second Empire 8 title of the meet. This time she won the 200 free with a NCAA "B" cut time of 1:52.49. Douglas took second pocketing a B-Cut mark of 1:53.82 and Ithaca's Megan Buisman was third in 1:54.85.
In the night’s final event, Moores, Geyer, Douglas and Miller teamed for a win and a 3:52.22 in the 400-medley relay, earning yet another NCAA B-cut. The Bombers earned second (3:55.09) and Nazareth College was close behind in third (3:56.56).

Women's 1-meter Diving
The morning session will start at 10 a.m., while the finals will be held in the evening beginning at 6pm.
