Devin Shea Earns Weekly Honor
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Ithaca College senior Devin Shea was named the Empire 8 Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player on Saturday en route to earning E8 Player of the Week nods announced Monday.
Shea averaged 10 points and four rebounds in two games as the top-seeded Bombers won their second consecutive E8 title and fifth overall. Shea shot 75 percent from the field and finished with 14 points and six rebounds in the 64-54 semifinal win against St. John Fisher College Friday night. She added six points and two boards in the 47-29 championship victory at Hartwick on Saturday. Ithaca set a school record for wins in a season with their 25th victory; the previous mark of 24 was established last season.
