E8 Announces Swimming & Diving All-Conference Teams
The Empire 8 Athletic Conference (E8) has announced the 2013 Swimming and Diving All-Conference honorees. The E8 recognized 30 men and 26 women who represent the conference’s six institutions who sponsor the sport.
To be a member of the all-conference team a student athlete must have finished in the top two of an individual event at the Championship Meet held Feb 20-23. Winners of the event are named to the first team, while the second team is comprised of the runner-up from each event.
In addition, one member of each team was named that institution’s representative on the Sportsman/Sportswoman of the Year Team. Empire 8 emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete’s experience in conjunction with an institution’s educational mission.
