Ithaca Women's T&F Team Ranks 20th in Week Five National Standings
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team ranks 20th in the
week five rankings of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national poll with 41.85 points, a seven-spot drop from last week. The Bombers also rank second in the
Atlantic Region poll to match their week four ranking.
Ithaca has six top performances that earned points toward their total.
Senior Jenn Randall ranks sixth in the nation with a school-record 800-meter run performance of 2:14.66.
Sophomore Harmony Graves sits 22nd in the 60 dash with a time of 7.89.
Randall and Graves teamed with sophomore Emily Smith and freshman Michaela Cioffredi to clock a 12:14.50 DMR. The time ranks 16th nationally.
Senior Amanda Rissmeyer ranks nationally in the top 10 in a pair of events. She sits sixth in the pentathlon with a 3,366-point performance and sixth in the high jump with a clear of 1.68 meters.
Sophomore Emilia Scheemaker ranks eighth nationally with a mark of 11.65 meters in the triple jump.
Ithaca is second in the
Division III dual meet rankings with 147.85 points.
The Bombers return to action on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22-23 when they host the 2013 NYSCTC Indoor T&F Championships at Glazer Arena.
