Men’s Basketball Player – Stevens
Sheldon Jones, Senior, Guard – Queens, NY/Townsend
Senior guard Sheldon Jones had an excellent week for Stevens as the Ducks won a pair of conference home games over Hartwick and Utica. Jones scored 22 points on 7-for-14 shooting, grabbed a pair of reboudns and recorded one block shot in the victory over the Hawks on Tuesday night. He then had 29 points in Stevens' 85-77 win over Utica, tallying five rebounds, two blocks and a steal as well. Jones averaged 25.5 points and shot 54.8 percent from the field, averaged 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks for the Ducks.
Men’s Basketball Rookie – Nazareth
Maurice Mills, Forward – Utica, NY/Proctor
Maurice Mills recorded his first a double-double, including a career-high 16 points, in Friday's one-point win over Ithaca. He shot 7-for-11 from the field and also grabbed 11 rebounds as the Golden Flyers handed the Bombers their second E8 loss of the season. Earlier in the week, Mills added 11 points and eight rebounds in an 81-75 win against Houghton Tuesday night.
Women’s Basketball Player and Rookie – Hartwick
Brittney Dumas, Freshman, Guard – Easton, CT/ Joel Barlow
Freshman Brittany Dumas scored a career-high 27 points while accounting for over half of Hartwick's points in a 52-46 overtime victory at Stevens on Tuesday. For the game, Dumas hit 9-of-19 from the floor, she made her only three-point attempt and went 8-of-12 from the free-throw line. She also contributed 10 rebounds to secure her second career double-double. Dumas leads the Hawks in scoring, field-goal percentage, blocks, and she is second in rebounding. Her 53.3% shooting percentage this season ranks 24th in the country.
Men’s Swimming & Diving Athlete – Nazareth
Dan Burke, Freshman – Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker
Freshman Dan Burke broke a 31-year-old school record in winning the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:00.04 on Saturday against RIT. The previous record of 1:00.85 was set by Hall of Famer Rick Carvotta in March of 1982. Burke also swam the lead-off leg of the 200-meter medley relay that finished second in a school record time of 1:51.63.
Women’s Swimming & Diving Athlete – Hartwick
Jade Woodend, Sophomore – Visalia, CA/Mayfield
Jade Woodend won two events for the Hawks in their final regular season meet. She won the 50 free (24.55) and the 100 free (53.91). Woodend also placed second in the 100 butterfly (1:00.68) and was part of the 200 medley relay team that came in second place with an overall time of 1:56.36. She swam a 50 fly split time of 26.88.
Men’s Indoor Track Athlete – Ithaca
Mason Mann, Junior – Keene, NH/Keene
Junior Mason Mann won the 500-meter run on Saturday at the Bomber Invitational/Multi with a facility record of 1:07.14, also qualifying him for the ECAC Indoor Championships.
Men’s Indoor Field Athlete – Stevens
Victor Servito, Senior – Teaneck, NJ/Bergen Catholic
Senior Victor Servito competed at the Bomber Invitational Multi in Ithaca, N.Y. and set a school record in the heptathlon with 4,577 points. His point total currently ranks him 15
th in Division III. Servito finished second in the event and was the runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.69 seconds. He was also fourth in high jump (1.84 meters), long jump (6.39 meters) and pole vault (3.85 meters). Twenty-three competitors took part in the event.
Women’s Indoor Track Athlete – Utica
Jaimee Balloni, Junior - Baldwinsville, NY/C.W.Baker
Junior Jaimee Balloni took home first place on the podium out of 18 runners in the 1000-meter run after qualifying for ECAC's with a time of 3:08.24. Balloni was also part of the school record-breaking 4x800 meter relay after posting a winning time of 10:27.09.
Women’s Indoor Field Athlete – Ithaca
Amanda Rissmeyer, Senior – Millington, NJ/Watchung
Amanda Rissmeyer placed second in Sunday's pentathlon on day two of the Bomber Invitational/Multi at Glazer Arena. Her point total of 3,366 ranks her second in the nation, just 18 points shy of the top performer. Rissmeyer placed first in the high jump and shot put and second in the long jump. She cleared 1.68 meters to meet the facility record in the high. She threw 11.30 meters in the shot and tallied a mark of 5.30 meters in the long. Her high jump and long jump performances met the ECAC qualifiers.
