Bomber Baseball Starts Season With Win Over Old Westbury
YAPHANK, N.Y. - The Ithaca College baseball team began its season with a 7-1 victory over Old Westbury in a game played at Baseball Heaven on Long Island. The Bombers got off to a fast start and went on to the victory.
Colby Gee and Vinny Gneo each hit two-run homers in the first inning to put the Bombers out in front, and that was all that was needed for starting pitcher Pat Lemmo, who worked the complete-game victory allowing only one run.
Further details will be available Saturday, when Ithaca College will face both Baruch and Mount St. Mary.
