Bomber Bats Explode In Two More Baseball Wins
YAPHANK, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College baseball team extended its season-opening winning streak to three games with a pair of victories Saturday at Baseball Heaven on Long Island. In the morning, the Bombers posted a 16-1 win over Baruch and then dominated Mount St. Mary 15-2 in the second game of the day. Ithaca College will wrap up the weekend of play Sunday with a game against Eastern Connecticut.

The Bombers pounded out 19 hits and scored five runs each in the third and sixth innings. Andrew Turner homered for the Bombers and was 4-for-4 in the game with three runs scored and four RBIs. Max Addy had three hits, all singles, drove in one and scored twice.
Luke Stark, Tim Locastro, Vinny Gneo and Christian Brown all had two hits each.
John Prendergast (1-0) was the winning pitcher. He threw seven innings and allowed just four hits and one run that was earned. He had nine strikeouts and walked three batters.
Ithaca College 15, Mount St. Mary 2
The Bombers scored seven runs in the first two innings of the win over Mount St. Mary as Colby Gee hit his second home run of the season as part of a 17-hit attack. Jim Wagner (1-0) pitched six innings to get the win.
