Fisher Tennis Beats Westminster

The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team picked up an 8-1 win over Westminster College on Sunday in Hilton Head, S.C.  

On the men's side, Daniel Parshall and Bryan Hanley combined for three points.  Parshall (second singles) and Hanley (third singles) both won in straight sets in their individual match and teamed up for an 8-6 win at second doubles.  Sheldon Mitchell battled at point fourth singles, winning 7-5, 7-5.  He also joined Jay Kline for an 8-3 win at third doubles.

Greg Duffy rallied after losing the opening set 6-1, to win 1-6, 6-0, 10-7 at first singles.  Tom Quinzi won easily (6-0, 6-1) at sixth singles, while Nathaniel Ligon earned his first career point with a 6-3, 6-3 at fifth singles.
