Fisher and Ithaca Move Up in IWLCA National Rankings

The St. John Fisher (3-0) and Ithaca College women’s lacrosse teams (2-0) rank 14th and 15th, respectively, in week three of the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association standings. The Cardinals improved one spot, while the Bombers had a two-spot improvement from a week ago.

Fisher senior Melissa Leonhard ranks fifth in Division III women's lacrosse with 9.33 draw controls per game and the team is ranked 12th in the category averaging 16.67.

The Cardinals will return to action at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13 and will host SUNY Geneseo.    

Ithaca senior Tracy Rivas ranks 15th in DIII women’s lacrosse with 3.5 assists per game and 21st with 6.5 points per contest. Classmate Jess Worthman sits 17th nationally with a goals-against average of 6.5.

Ithaca is on its spring training trip in Clermont, Fla. where the Bombers will face #4 Gettysburg on Wednesday and #8 Franklin & Marshall on Thursday.
