Kathryn Campbell have been named to the D3hoops.com All-East Region Team for the 2012-13 season. In addition, Nazareth center
Lindsey Kelly has been named East Region Rookie of the Year, while Ithaca head coach
Dan Raymond was tapped the Coach of the Year.
Foglia, the Empire 8 Player of the Year, was selected to the first team after starting all 30 games, averaging 14.3 points per contest and finishing in double-figures 22 times. Her three-point field goal percentage (37.6) ranked second in the conference as she led her team to the ECAC Metro Championship title. Foglia also averaged 5.3 rebounds and accumulated 82 assists and 27 steals for the Hawks.
Campbell paced the Bombers with a team-best 12.5 points per game and was a second team All-Region selection. She averaged 4.8 rebounds per game and had 82 assists, 50 steals and six blocks. The Bombers made their 10th appearance in the NCAA Division III playoffs and ninth in the past 13 seasons. Ithaca defeated Colby-Sawyer, 56-43, in the first round of the tournament before defeating Smith, 73-50, to punch its ticket to the Sweet 16 where they fell to Williams in overtime.
Kelly, a 6-foot center, was a force for the Golden Flyers in 2012-13. She led the team in scoring (16 ppg.) and rebounding (8.4 rpg.). She also broke a 35-year-old school record for single-season field goal accuracy as she connected on 58.3 percent of her shots (161-for-276). She recorded six double-doubles (points-rebounds) and was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Week four times.
Raymond, in his 13th season as the Bombers' head coach, led Ithaca a record setting 27-3 season. The Bombers posted a 13-1 mark in conference play and earned the top seed in the E8 tournament for the fifth consecutive year. Ithaca won its second straight league title and earned the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they advanced to the Sweet 16.
