Campbell Praised with WBCA Postseason Honor
ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College women’s basketball junior Kathryn Campbell has been named to the
Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America Team. Campbell, who received honorable mention to the team, becomes the program’s fourth All-American.
Campbell, who put up double-digit point totals 20 times this season, led the Bombers with 12.5 points per contest on 46.2 percent shooting. She ranked second on the squad with 82 assists and 50 steals, while pulling down 4.8 rebounds per contest. Starting each of the Bombers’ 30 games, she hit 31 threes to move into eighth all-time at Ithaca with 94 career treys. Campbell, an All-Empire 8 First-Team selection, was named the Skidmore Invitational MVP and tallied Empire 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week applause on Jan. 7.
This season, the Bombers posted a school-record-setting record of 27-3 and made a trip to the NCAA Round of 16. It was Ithaca’s ninth appearance in the national tournament under head coach Dan Raymond’s direction and the second in the Sweet 16. Ithaca won its fifth consecutive Empire 8 regular-season title and second straight Empire 8 Championship Tournament crown.
