Naz falls to Wooster in men's tennis

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Nazareth closed out its spring-break men's tennis schedule Friday as the Golden Flyers dropped a close 7-2 decision to College of Wooster. Nazareth is 1-6 overall and plays again Monday against RIT.
Senior
Ryan McCormick continued his strong play at first singles as he won 6-2, 6-3 over Wooster's Will Nelson. Nazareth's other point came at second doubles, where the tandem of
Jeremy Mancus and
Erik Manske won 8-6 over Wooster's team of Dave Greethan and John Schulz.
Nazareth also lost close matches at second, third, fourth and fifth singles. At #2, Mancus lost an 11-9 teibreaker to Wooster's Milo Saurman, then at #3
Bret Beaver split sets with Paul Thomas before falling 10-6 in the tiebreaker.
Manske lost 7-5, 6-4 at fourth singles and
Tyler Williams dropped a third-set tiebreaker to Harrison Suttle at fifth singles.
