Bomber Baseball Extends Win Streak To Three Games

WHITTIER, Calif. -- The Ithaca College baseball team fought back from an early deficit and went on to a 6-3 win over Rutgers-Newark Saturday afternoon in Whittier, Calif. It was Ithaca's third consecutive victory and second in a row over Rutgers-Newark. The Bombers are 7-4 overall and wrap up their spring trip with a Sunday game at Chapman.

Rutgers-Newark led 3-0 after two innings but those were the only runs they managed the rest of the way. Ithaca got back into the game with two runs in the top of the third when Christian Brown singled, stole second and scored on an error. Tim Henry singled to bring home Tim Locastro.

Ithaca took the lead in the next inning when Max Addy singled and Andrew Turner walked and both scored. Kevin Primm had an RBI single and Turner scored on a double-play groundout.

The Bombers added single runs in the sewventh and ninth innings. David Jasukonis worked out of a jam in the ninth and earned the save. Jimmy Wagner started and went six innings to pick up the win, his second of the year.

Henry was 3-for-4 in the game with two RBIs. Max Addy also had two hits.
