Houghton Shut out at Cazenovia
CAZENOVIA, N.Y. -- With leading scorer Tyler Kempney out of action with a shoulder injury, the Highlanders struggled to find any offense in an 18-0 loss at Cazenovia on Saturday.
The hosts scored six times in the first quarter and added nine more in the second. Cazenovia had a 25-5 shots advantage in the first half.
Cazenovia led in ground balls, 46-37, on the afternoon. Houghton had 18 turnovers, while Cazenovia committed 16.
Josh Haingray played the full 60 minutes in goal, making eight saves.
The Highlanders (1-4) return to action on Saturday, March 23 when they travel to Hartwick College for a 1 p.m. contest.
