ORANGE, Calif. -- The Ithaca College baseball team concluded its spring trip with a 9-7 win at Chapman on Sunday. The Bombers scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning, all with two outs, in the victory.

With Ithaca leading 6-5 after eight, the first two Bomber batters were retired in the top of the ninth. A double from Tim Henry and single from Colby Gee put runners at second and third, then Corey Caswell came through with an RBI single. Cameron Oathout followed with a double to bring in two more runners. Those runs would prove to be important, as Chapman scored twice in the bottom of the ninth but couldn't complete the comeback.

Ithaca jumped ahead with five runs in the top of the first, but Chapman scored three times in the bottom of the inning. In Ithaca's first-inning rally, Gee and Kevin Primm each had two-run doubles.

Gee finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Tim Locastro was 3-for-5 and scored twice. Caswell was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs.

Jasper Adams started and earned the victory in 5.1 innings pitched. Brandon Diorio, David Jasukonis and Chris Anderson all pitched in relief, with Anderson earning his first save of the season.

The Bombers return to action Saturday and Sunday with doubleheaders at Houghton.
