Ducks Drop and Bombers Surge in USILA National Rankings

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its weekly top 20 poll and the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s team dropped from No. 4 to No. 10, while Ithaca College surged to No. 18.

Stevens dropped a 12-11 overtime contest against No. 1 Cortland and then fell to then ranked No. 11 Tufts University, 18-14.

The Ducks are back at home on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. against Montclair State University for the final non-conference game of the season. Stevens opens up Empire 8 play against Alfred University at 1 p.m. on March 30.

The Bombers recorded a trio of wins during its spring training trip to stay undefeated on the season. Ithaca beat Drew, Virginia Wesleyan and Christopher Newport and is slated to host Oneonta at 4 p.m. Wednesday in its 2013 opener at Higgins Stadium before traveling to top-ranked Cortland for a 7 p.m. battle on Friday.
