Three Bomber Divers Qualify For NCAA Championships
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Three Ithaca College divers qualified for the NCAA Division III Diving Championships by virtue of their finishes this weekend at the NCAA Division III Diving Regional hosted at the Athletics & Events Center Aquatics Pavilion. Bomber female diver Kloe Boeckel advanced to the nationals, along with men's divers Martin Brown and Matt Morrison.
The two-day event featured an 11-dive finals competition among a field of 15 female divers and nine men's divers. A total of five national qualifying places were awarded on the women's side and four total spots from the men's divers. The four other women to advance to nationals were Danica Roskos and Sabrina Lucchesi from The College of New Jersey and Sarah Ficarro and Ashley Keller from Fredonia. Joining Brown and Morrison on the men's side were Ryan Fuller of Fredonia and John Tellgren from RIT.
This is the first year that diving regional meets have been held at the Division III level as part of NCAA championship qualification. Complete selection process information is available at the
meet website.
