The St. John Fisher College baseball team dropped both games of its doubleheader at undefeated Haverford, losing 3-0 in the opener and giving up four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning in a 10-9 loss in the nightcap.

With the two losses, Fisher falls to 7-4, while Haverford moves to 12-0.

Pitcher Sean Badger was the hard-luck loser in game one.  The junior pitched 6.2 innings and allowed just two earned runs, while giving up six hits and striking out six.    The Fisher offense only generated four hits in the loss.

Offense, however, wasn’t a problem in game two.  Fisher snapped a 4-4 tie with four runs in the top of the sixth, thanks to the long-ball.  Brad Rush hit a two-run homer and Johnny Beck delivered a solo shot in Fisher’s next at-bat.

Ben Bostick homered in the seventh to make it 9-4 Fisher, but Haverford rallied, scoring one in the seventh, one in the eighth and four in the ninth.

Adam Pettinella went seven innings on the mound, allowing four earning runs and eight hits.

Mike Fahy was 4-for-4 in the game with two runs and two stolen bases.  Sean Osterman finished two hits, as did Bostick and Rush.
Fisher returns to action with a doubleheader on Sunday at Neumann College.
