Hobart Pulls Out Close Victory Over Ithaca Men's Tennis
ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College men's tennis team returned to Glazer Arena and made a comeback during singles matches, but fell 6-3 to Hobart in a dual match Wednesday night. The Bombers trailed 3-0 after doubles, but won three of the six singles matches and pushed another to a third set.
Justin Levine got the Bombers on the board with a convicing 6-2, 6-1 win at third singles, and he was followed off the court by a second-singles victory from Griffin Reid by scores of 7-5, 6-4. At fourth singles, Chris Hayes won a second set with two late breaks to bring his match to the third set but dropped the third set. Ithaca's other victory came from David Andersen with a 6-2, 6-4 win at fifth singles.
The Bombers return to action April 6 at home against Rochester Institute of Technology.
