Ithaca won the first game 2-1 in 13 innings and cruised to a 10-3 win in the second game. The extra-inning game was the longest game for a Bomber baseball team since a 14-inning win at St. John Fisher on April 25, 2004. Ithaca is 13-4 on the season and Oswego fell to 9-6. The Bombers scored the winning run in the bottom of the 13th inning when Christian Brown singled to left center with one out and Luke Stark scored from second base.. Brown started the inning with a single and advanced to second on a wild pitch.

Ithaca took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning on a two-out single by catcher Corey Caswell that scored Brown, who singled earlier in the inning. Brown was the only Ithaca player with more than one hit.

The Lakers tied the game in the top of the fourth, but the Bomber defense came through with a big play to end the rally. On a two-out single to right field, a Laker runner tried to score from second base but right-fielder Brown came up throwing and the relay from first baseman Brian Burns to Caswell was in time to cut down the runner at the plate.

The game featured just 13 combined hits and none went for extra bases. Both starting pitchers were excellent as each went 10 innings and threw more than 100 pitchers, but neither factored in the decision. Ithaca starter Pat Lemmo had seven strikeouts, allowed six hits and one earned run. Jimmy Wagner (4-0) earned the win with three innings of relief work where he allowed just one hit and walked two with three strikeouts. Oswego relief pitcher Adam Bishop took the loss.
