St. John Fisher junior Nick Flemister and Ithaca sophomore John Prendergast were named the Player and Pitcher of the week for the week of April 9-14.

Flemister hit safely in all four games last week for the Cardinals. He went 7-for-13 overall including two doubles and drove in five runs. Flemister notched two runs and drew two walks as well. In a 7-4 win over Oswego State he went 4-for-4 with five RBI (both career highs). On April 13 in a 3-0 loss to Case Western Reserve University, he was one of four Cardinals to register a hit. April 14 featured a doubleheader split with Case. Flemister got things started in the first game with a walk in the second inning as the Cardinals went on to score three runs. In the second game, Fisher scored first in the second inning when Flemister led off with a single and was driven in three batters later.

Flemister and the Cardinals return to action at 6 p.m. on Wednesday as they host Allegheny College in Jamestown, NY.

Prendergast helped Ithaca extend its winning streak to 18 games. He carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the last inning against Utica on Sunday before allowing two runs. He had four strikeouts in the game and picked up the victory.

The Bombers return to play on Tuesday in Rochester for a non-conference game against the Yellowjackets beginning at 6 p.m.
