Padgett and Tutein Garner E8 Honors

Senior Hunter Padgett and freshman Rob Tutein of the Utica College men's track and field team were named the Empire 8 Track and Field Athletes of the Week for their performance over the weekend at the Coach P Open hosted by Moravian College.
Padgett placed third in the 3000 meter steeplechase event with a time of 9:53.00. Also a standout on the UC cross country team, he has been Utica's top finisher in almost all of distance events.
Tutein took fourth in the high jump in his first outing of the outdoor season as he soared 1.98 meters on April 13th.
The Pioneers return to action this weekend as they head to Rochester, NY for the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships hosted by Nazareth College. The events are set to begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be held at Golden Flyer Stadium.
