Edmonds and Prendergast Victorious at Hamilton Invite

Clinton, NY (4-17-13) – Freshman Kelcei Edmonds and junior Samantha Prendergast led the Utica College women’s track and field teams Wednesday at the Hamilton Invite as the duo posted three victories in regular-season competition.
Edmonds continued her solid freshman campaign with wins in the shot put and discus throw. She registered throws of 10.85 in the shot put and 30.75 meters in the discus to guide the Pioneers.
Prendergast garnered a victory in the 400 meter dash with a clock of 1:01.54, three seconds ahead of the competition, and also placed third in the 200 meter dash (27.92).
Freshman Imani Mack trailed Edmonds in the shot put with a toss of 10.03 meters, placing third.
UC heads to Rochester, NY Saturday for the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships hosted by Nazareth College. The competition will be held at the Golden Flyer Stadium with the events set to begin at 10:30 a.m.
