Ithaca senior Tracy Rivas was named Empire 8 Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week after setting Ithaca’s all-time goals record Saturday with 171. St. John Fisher freshman Nicole Hart was tabbed the Rookie of the Week after earning two wins.

Rivas netted a team-high 13 goals in a 3-0 week for the Bombers en route to snapping Ithaca's 31-year-old school record. The former record of 170 career goals was held since 1982 – a record set over the course of 52 games. Rivas has played in 66 games and tallied 234 points to rank second in overall points.

Rivas had a hat trick and two assists in a 14-6 non-conference win at William Smith Tuesday, before adding four scores in an 18-4 win against Elmira Friday and six goals and one assist in a 22-3 victory over Alfred Saturday. The pair of conference victories helped the Bombers claim the top seed in the Empire 8 Championship Tournament, while improving their win streak to six.

Ithaca will host Hamilton in non-conference action Tuesday, April 23 at 5 p.m. at Higgins Stadium.

In a 2-0 week for the Fisher women's lacrosse team, Hart started both games, earning both wins. The freshman has now started in three games in her collegiate career for the Cardinals and has a perfect 3-0 mark.

Hart stopped eight shots on Friday in a 17-9 victory of Stevens Institute of Technology. On Saturday, the Cardinals cruised 20-3 past Hartwick College, as Hart earned the win with five saves in one half of work.

Fisher has locked up the No. 2 seed for the Empire 8 Tournament and will return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday at Houghton College before closing out the regular season next Saturday at Alfred University.
