Courage Bowl IX Plans Announced

The St. John Fisher College football team will face Alfred University at 1 p.m. on November 16, 2013 in the ninth installment of the Courage Bowl, which supports Camp Good Days and Special Times. This matchup will only occur in 2013, as The College at Brockport will take over the series in 2014, facing the Cardinals in the annual contest.
In the first eight Courage Bowl games, which began in 2005, St. John Fisher College faced the University of Rochester. Fisher won all eight of those contests and will put its streak of Courage Bowl wins against the Saxons, a fellow Empire 8 Conference member.
The matchup will represent a pivotal game for both teams, as it will be a conference game late in the season and could have conference and playoff impications. Alfred has won four of the last five meetings with the Cardinals, with Fisher winning the 2011 contest 17-3.
