Ithaca Women's T&F Team Upholds Atlantic Region Ranking of Fourth

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team ranks fourth in week four of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Atlantic Region poll announced Wednesday. Ithaca also ranked fourth in the week three poll.

The Bombers have seven top-20 performances receiving national recognition thus far this season. Sophomore Emilia Scheemaker ranks ninth nationally with a school-record mark of 11.62 meters in the triple jump. Senior Amanda Rissmeyer sits 14th with a 1.65-meter clear in the high jump. Classmate Jenn Randall ranks 15th in the 1,500-meter run and 18th in the 800 with times of 4:35.81 and 2:14.86. Rookie Brooke Zimmerman is 20th in the javelin with a  season-best toss of 40.02 meters.

The Bombers’ 4x400 relay of Martyann Chromik, Christine Kelly, Randall and Eliza Dewart sits 11th with a finish of 3:55.73 and the Bombers’ 4x100 relay of Rachel Friedman, Dewart, Kelly and Sarah Werner ranks 18th having clocked a 48.79 time.

The Bombers will be sending student-athletes to compete in the historic Penn Relays April 24-26.
