Empire 8 Men's Tennis Tournament Field Set; Stevens to Host

Stevens Institute of Technology has earned the top seed and the right to host the 2013 Men's Tennis Tournament May 4-5.

Weather permitting the tournament will take place on campus, should indoor courts be needed the tournament will move to St. Peter's College (2641 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306).

Organization of Play:
Saturday, May 4^th
 
(Outdoor Format @ Stevens) Dual match is played until decision.  Three doubles matches are followed by six singles matches, starting by position order. 

• Courts are available for warm-up one (1) hour prior to match start time

#1 (Stevens) vs. #4 (St. John Fisher) – 10:00am
#2 (Ithaca) vs. #3 (Nazareth) - 2:00pm
 
(Rain Format) Dual match is played until decision.  Three doubles matches are followed by six singles matches, starting by position order.  Both semi-final matches will be played simultaneously. 

• Courts are available for warm-up one-half hour (1/2) hour prior to match start time
• Each team has (3) three courts for the semi-final match

#1 (Stevens) vs. #4 (St. John Fisher) – 12:30pm
#2 (Ithaca) vs. #3 (Nazareth) – 3:30pm  
           
 
Sunday, May 5^th
 
(Outdoor Format @ Stevens) Dual match is played until decision.  Three doubles matches are followed by six singles matches, starting by position order. 
 
Winner of Stevens / St. John Fisher  vs. winner of Ithaca / Nazareth – 11:00am
            *Courts will be available for team warm-up at 10:00am. 
 
(Rain Format) Dual match is played until decision.  Three doubles matches are followed by six singles matches, starting by position order.  We will have five (5) indoor
 
Winner of Stevens / St. John Fisher vs. winner of Nazareth / Ithaca - 1:00pm
            *Courts will be available for team warm-up at 12:00 pm.  (2.5) courts per team for warm-up.)
