Utica College freshman Kelcei Edmonds and Stevens Institute of Technology freshman Alexandra Doyle were named co-field athletes of the week, while Stevens senior Ashley Princiotta was tabbed the track athlete of the week.

Edmonds' came in first place in the shot put at the Hamilton College Invitational on Saturday, breaking the school-record with a toss of 11.63 meters.  The two sport athlete (basketball, outdoor track) broke the school’s previous all-time shot put record of 10.79 in her first-ever meet as a Pioneer.

In six attempts, Edmonds registered throws of 10.55m, 11.31m, 10.95m, 10.62m, 11.63m, and 10.67m.  Her second to last toss of 11.63 meters earned her a new school-record in the women’s shot put.  Only one other athlete at the meet eclipsed the 11.00 meter barrier.

She also placed third in the women’s discus after recording a top throw of 32.90 meters.

Doyle set a school record and qualified for ECAC's with a mark of 36.97 meters (121 feet, 3 inches) in the discus to place 10th overall. Doyle surpassed the old record by more than six meters which was set back in 2001.

Princiotta recorded a personal best and school record in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:53.37. Princiotta's time topped the old mark by 11 seconds set back in 2008 in her ninth place finish. She placed second among Division III runners in the event.
