Fisher Goes Low To Win Hershey Cup

The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's golf team shot a 293 on Monday and finished with a two-day total of 604 to win the Hershey Cup in Hershey, Pa.

The Cardinals beat out 14 other schools, including runner-up finisher University of Rochester, who finished at 616.

Chris Blyth finished in fourth place overall, finishing at +7 (73-72-149).   Joseph Radulski (79-73) and Josh Rathbun (76-76) both finished tied for seventh place with a 152, while Thad Wier shaved eight strokes off of his score on Monday, carding a 73.

Corey Haas joined Wier at 154, sharing 10th-place honors.  The freshman shot a 75 on Monday, after shooting 79 on Sunday.

Fisher returns to action in two weeks and will play the final two rounds of the Empire 8 Conference Championship.  The Cardinals, who played the first two rounds back in September, will enter to two-day tournament with a 19-stroke lead.
