Stevens and Ithaca Ranked in Latest USILA Poll; Fisher and Nazareth Receiving Votes

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its weekly top 20 poll and the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s team improved to No. 7, while Ithaca College fell to No. 17.  St. John Fisher College and Nazareth College are among teams also receiving votes.

Stevens netted eight goals in the final 30 minutes to defeat Fisher, 10-8, on April 6.

The Bombers upended visiting Alfred, 12-2, on April 3 and fell to Nazareth 15-8 on April 5.

Nazareth jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the first, but Ithaca outscored the Golden Flyers 5-3 in the second for a 7-7 deadlock at the half. Nazareth posted eight second-half goals, while holding Ithaca to just one over the 30-minute span to claim the victory.

Before its loss to Stevens, Fisher defeated Elmira College 16-8 on April 3. Fisher and Elmira traded scores over the first three periods before the Cardinals finally broke away in the fourth with eight-straight goals.
