Records fall at ROC City Classic

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's men's track and field team broke four school records Saturday as the Golden Flyers competed at the ROC City Classic at Golden Flyers Stadium.
Junior
Jake Lafaver was Nazareth's lone first-place finisher as he won the 800-meter run in 1:58.69. He also ran in the 4 x 400-meter relay that finished third in 3:34.99.
Philip Schierer, Zach Lafaver and
Terric Johnson also ran.
Freshman
Brandon Vuolo broke records in both the shot put (41 feet, 1 inch) and the discus (119 feet, 1/2 inch). Freshman
Khiary Gayle broke the school record in the triple jump as he placed second with a leap of 13.29 meters (43 feet, 7 1/4 inches). Freshman
Jeff Green was third in the pole vault as he set a school record by clearing 12 feet, 5 1/2 inches.
