Another Record-Setting Performance For Fisher's Track and Field Team
Several Fisher records and personal-best marks were set on Saturday by the St. John Fisher College men’s outdoor track and field team at the ROC City Classic, hosted by Nazareth College.
Freshman Trevor Wilkes won the 400, finishing with a time of :50.89, setting a new Fisher record.
Matthew Herbert placed second overall in the 1,500 with a time of 4:18.28 (Fisher record), while Chris Wehner was the top collegiate finisher in the 110-hurdles, posting a time of :16.08.
Kyle Barry was third in the javelin, with a distance of 43.56 meters, while Will Sterricker, Dylan Cassidy and Robert Battaglia finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 400-meter hurdles.
Sterricker was also fourth in the 110-hurdles (16.62).
Jose Ramos placed fourth overall in the 3000 steeplechase, while Cody Schweickert was fourth in the long jump (6.26 meters). Kyle Koehler finished fourth in the shot put (13.59), setting a new Fisher record and meeting NYSCTC A Standard, while Joe D’Agostino posted a personal best time of :11.52 in the 100-meter dash. He also set the Fisher record in the 200 with a time of 23.43.
Eric Mikols set a Fisher record in the 500, as did Jeffrey Mangiafesto in the 5,000. Fisher’s 4X4 relay (Sterriker, Mikols, Cassidy, Wilkes) also set a new College-record.
