More Records Set For Fisher Women's Track and Field
It was another record-setting day for the St. John Fisher College women's outdoor track and field team at the ROC City Classic at Nazareth College on Saturday.
Taylor Youngkrans won the hammer throw, heaving a distance of 40.48 meters, meeting NYSCTC A Standard and setting a new Fisher record. She also placed fourth in the discus. (30.49), setting a new Fisher record in that event as well. Another thrower, Paige Willson won the javelin with a distance of 31.61 meters (also a Fisher record)..
Lisa Knab cleared 1.52 meters to finish second in the high jump, while Olivia Emerling was second in the 400-hurdles (1:10.09).
Renee Deruchia was second overall in the 3,000 steeplechase, setting a Fisher record with a time of 12:53.95.
Nicoletta Lattuca was third in the 100 and long jump, while Morgan Mastin took third in the 400 (1:02.61). Lindsay Jones placed third in the 100 hurdles as well (:17.38).
Katlin Shippy set a Fisher record in the 1,500 with a time of 5:14.21, good for Fisher record.
