The St. John Fisher College men’s golf team finished in the top 10 of the NCAA Division III Championship for the second-straight year with a 301 (+17) at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort’s The Raven on Friday afternoon. Fisher tied for ninth place with Illinois Wesleyan University with a four-round total of 1206 (+66).

Joseph Radulski finished the day with 72 (+1), completing a great Championship with a total score of 293 (+8). In his final collegiate tournament, the senior finished in a four-way tie for 12th place on the individual leaderboard. That guarantees Radulski a spot as an All-American, as the top 15 golfers from the NCAA Championship will be awarded second and third team honors (first team All-Americans are now selected by a committee based on the entire season).

Chris Blyth turned in the Cardinals lowest round of the day and the tournament, shooting a 71 (E) on The Raven. The sophomore finished in a tie for 32nd place, accumulating a score of 300 (+15) through the four rounds.

Thad Wier shot his best score of the week on Friday, scoring a 77 (+6). Wier was 2013’s Empire 8 Player of the Year while earning Second Team All-America accolades in 2012, finishing in a tie for 14th.

Josh Rathbun, who gave the Cardinals their best round on Thursday, rounded out Fisher’s top four on Friday with an 81 (+10). The sopohomore, in his first NCAA Championship appearance, gave Fisher four solid rounds, shooting 311 (+26).

Corey Haas finished in the top 50 of the Championship, scoring a 308 (+23) over the four days.

In a two-team race entering the final round, Texas @ Tyler trumped Transylvania, shooting a 289 (+5) on Friday to win the Championship by seven strokes (1197, +27).
