Wilkes Leads Fisher At NYSCTC Championship
The St. John Fisher College men’s track and field team enjoyed a strong showing at the NYSCTC Championships at St. Lawrence University over the weekend. The Cardinals finished with 38 points, good for seventh place out of 11 schools.
Freshman Trevor Wilkes won the 400 meter dash for the Cardinals with a school-record time of 48.94 to earn 10 points on the day. He was also part of Fisher’s 4X100 relay (along with Will Sterricker, Nick Antonio and Joe D’Agostino) that earned three points with a school-record time of 43.15 and the 4X400 relay (Nathan Stott, Dylan Cassidy and Devin Cornelius) that earned one point with a Fisher record time of 3:27.45.
Kyle Koehler was second overall (eight points) in the shot put with a distance of 14.01 meters, while Chris Wehner was fifth overall (four points) in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.45.
D’Agostino picked up two points with a seventh-place finish in the 100, while Sterricker earned a point in the 400 hurdles.
