Fisher Finishes Eighth At States

 The St. John Fisher College women’s track and field team finished in eighth place overall with 33 points at the NYSCTC Championship, hosted by St. Lawrence University.
 
Sophomores Nicoletta Lattuca and Morgan Mastin helped earn several points for the Cardinals.  On Friday, Lattuca earned four points, taking fifth in the long jump at 5.17 meters.  She also picked up three points with a sixth-place finish in the 100, while Mastin picked up a point in the event as well. 

Mastin also took fifth overall in the 400 with a school-record time of 59.94, qualifying her for ECACs in two weeks.  Both Mastin and Lattuca, along with Audrey Bowers and Rachel Wolcott were on the 4X100 relay team that took fifth place and picked up four points with an ECAC-qualifying time of 50.27.
 
Paige Willson finished in fourth place overall in the shot put at 11.53 meters, good for five points.  Emily Williams was sixth in discus (three points), while Lisa Knab finished seventh overall in the high jump.
