Ithaca Women's T&F Team Fourth in Regional Rankings

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team ranks fourth in week six of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Atlantic Region poll announced Wednesday. Ithaca ranked first in the week five poll. The Bombers are just one position shy of the Top 25 standings, with a nine-spot improvement from a week ago.

The Bombers have seven top-20 performances receiving national recognition thus far this season. Sophomore Emilia Scheemaker ranks third nationally with a school-record mark of 12.17 meters in the triple jump. Senior Amanda Rissmeyer ranks sixth in the high jump with a 1.70-meter clear and sits 19th with a 4,453-point performance in the heptathlon. Classmate Jenn Randall ranks sixth in the 1,500-meter run clocking a school-record time of 4:29.52 and is 16th in the 800 run with a time of 2:12.98. Rookie Brooke Zimmerman is 14th in the javelin with a season-best toss of 41.83 meters.  Senior Tammia Hubbard clocked a season-best 100 hurdles time of 14.69 to rank 18th nationally.

The Bombers will return to action Saturday, May 11 at Oneonta's May Meet.
