Blyth and Radulski of Men's Golf Earn All-America Honors
The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has named its NCAA Division III PING All-America teams. Two of St. John Fisher College’s men’s golf team was honored by the GCAA with Third Team honors. Senior Joseph Radulski and sophomore Chris Blyth were both recognized for their entire season of efforts on the course.
Blyth and Radulski are two of just 46 players in the entire country to earn All-America accolades. Not only were both honored for their season-long scores but also for their instrumental part in the Cardinals finishing in the top 10 (T-9th) at the NCAA Division III Championship for the second-straight year.
Radulski led the Cardinals at the NCAA Championship, shooting 293 (+8) for the four rounds, finishing in a tie for 12th place on the player's leaderboard. Following the tournament, Radulski's season scoring average was 75.55, placing him as the sixth ranked golfer in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The senior's best finish for the year was a tie for second at the ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate Championship. He also finished in sole possession of third place at the Empire 8 Championship, which wrapped up in late April after two rounds were played in the fall.
Blyth, who gave Fisher four solid rounds at the NCAA Championship, shot a 300 (+15) to finish in a tie for 32nd on the player’s leaderboard. His final scoring average for the season was 75.06, placing him as the second ranked golfer in the Mid-Atlantic Region. In 2012-13, Blyth finished in the top five of six different tournaments, including first place at the St. John Fisher College Invitational and the McDaniel Spring Invitational.
