ITHACA, N.Y. -- Ithaca College diver Martin Brown has earned Second Team CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in the at-large category. The at-large selections recognize student-athletes who compete in sports not otherwise honored by the Academic All-America program.

Prior to receiving the Academic All-America nod, Brown earned First Team recognition in the All-District ballot within District 2, which covers all of the Division III institutions in New York. The Academic All-District honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees were selected.

Brown, a senior from McLean, Va., carries a 3.70 cumulative grade-point average in environmental studies. He is a four-time all-American diver. Brown was voted Diver of the Year after earning a pair of all-America finishes at the NCAA Division III Championships. Brown was fourth in the event finals on the 3-meter board with a score of 525.75, and placed seventh on the 1-meter with a score of 456.30. At the Empire 8 Championships, Brown was second on both boards as he scored 565.70 points on 3-meter and 526.75 on 1-meter. The Bombers finished second in the UNYSCSA and Empire 8 Championships and placed 18th at the NCAA Championships, the program's best finish in 22 years.
