Stevens Men's Basketball Recognized for Academics
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches recently released its inaugural Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2012-13 and Stevens Institute of Technology was among the teams recognized.
The award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better for the 2012-13 season.
The Ducks were one of just 96 teams across all division of men's basketball (NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA Division I and II). Stevens was the lone Empire 8 team to make the list.
The Ducks finished the season 22-6 overall (11-3 E8) and made their second NCAA Tournament appearance in the 98-year history of the program.
