Fisher and Nazareth Pick up E8 Win

The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday, as the Cardinals defeated Empire 8 opponent Alfred University, 6-3.
Katie Pasier remained undefeated for the season winning 6-2, 6-0 in first singles and joined
Sania Zaki for an 8-6 win in first doubles. Freshman
Rosalie O'Brien and junior
Catie Nonenmacher won 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0 respectively in their singles matches. The duo also teamed up in third doubles for an 8-6 win, their first as a doubles partners this season.
Freshman
Abbey Buscaglia rounded out the Fisher scoring, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 in third singles.
Nazareth 8, Houghton 1 (

Nazareth won its third straight women's tennis match Tuesday as the Golden Flyers swept all three doubles matches in an 8-1 victory over Houghton. Nazareth is 3-2 overall. Houghton dropped to 2-4.

Ami Petosa was a straight-set winner at second singles and also teamed with senior
Alison Tepas for an 8-2 triumph at first doubles. Tepas also won in straight sets at first singles. Junior

Krista Pagan and freshman
June Logigian also won singles matches.
Logigian and Pagan took a point at second doubles and the tandem of Sharza and freshman #Jennifer Betts won 9-7 at third doubles.
Lisa Jones was the lone winner for Houghton as she won sixth singles, 6-0, 6-3.
