Hartwick 51, Morrisville 34
Sophomore
Travis Samuels had a career day for the Hartwick football team with a total of four touchdowns scored as the Hawks outscored Morrisville 18-7 in the fourth quarter to come away with a 51-34 victory on Saturday afternoon at Drake Field.
Quarterback
John Garcia put forth another solid effort as he passed for 236 yards and four touchdowns.
Kurtis Ahart gained 194 yards on the ground and added two scores.
Nick Knauer rushed for 55 yards on nine carries. Samuels had 178 yards receiving and 289 all-purpose yards.
Frankie Molina caught two balls for 42 yards and a touchdown.
Dante Crump led the defense with 14 total tackles. He also had one forced fumble.
Bryan Schweitzer tacked on 10 tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception for 26 yards.
R.J. Roth totaled nine tackles, once sack, two tackles for losses, one fumble recovery, and one interception.
Patrick Steves and
Rahpheal Duncan both had a sack each while Duncan added a forced fumble.
St. John Fisher 42, Washington & Jefferson 21
Nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College racked up 733 yards and senior quarterback
Tyler Fenti set the Fisher single-game passing record throwing for 453 yards, as the No. 19 Cardinals scored the final three touchdowns and doubled up visiting Washington & Jefferson College 42-21 in a non-conference Division III matchup at Fisher's Growney Stadium.
Fenti, making just his second career start, completed 18-of-26 passes for 453 yards and four touchdowns.
Kevin Francis finished with six receptions for 174 yards, while
Nathan Nigolian caught four passes for 150 yards and one touchdown.
Senior running back
Cody Miller gained 202 yards on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns, as the Cardinals added 280 yards on the ground, posting the second-highest total offense yardage total in school history.
Buffalo State 42, Brockport 40
Buffalo State (2-0) piled up 598 yards of total offense and improved to 2-0 for the first time since 1999 with a 42-40 victory over visiting Brockport (1-1) to claim the I-90 Bowl trophy for the third time in four years today in a non-conference game at Coyer Field.

Casey Kacz was 25 for 34 for 387 yards and a touchdown while adding 74 rushing yards and 14 attempts.
Mike Doherty had a career day with 10 catches for 228 yards.
Rich Pete rushed for 104 yards on 11 carries and two scores, and
Ismail Brooks added three rushing touchdowns.
Brian Greene and
Mitchell Thomas led the Bengals' defense with nine tackles each.
The teams combined to score 54 second-half points after the game was deadlocked at 14-14 at the intermission.
Utica 25, Union 16

Connor Butkiewicz connected on two consecutive touchdown passes in a span of 2:01 -- the second of which came with 26 seconds left in the first half -- to help spark a 25-16 victory for the Pioneers over visiting Union College at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium Saturday night. Utica improved to 2-0 for the fifth consecutive season as the Pioneer defense racked up nine sacks on the evening to help keep the Union offense at bay.
The Pioneers held a 22-9 advantage late into the fourth quarter until Union's Connor Eck capped a nine-play, 49 yard drive, with a six yard touchdown run to put the Dutchmen within striking distance, 22-16, with 5:19 remaining in the contest. Utica freshman
Jerred Beniquez returned the ensuing kickoff 57 yards before being forced out of bounds at Union's 33 yard line. The Pioneers were unable to take complete advantage of Beniquez's big return, but UC sophomore kicker
Thomas Woodburn converted on a crucial 34 yard field goal with 2:43 to go in the contest to essentially seal the victory for the Pioneers.
RPI 24, Alfred 21
The Alfred University football team lost a 24-21 non-conference decision to visiting RPI Saturday afternoon at Merrill Field in the Saxons’ 2013 season opener.
AU led 21-18 with just more than five minutes remaining in regulation, but RPI kicker Andrew Franks booted two field goals – his fourth and fifth of the game – to give the visiting Engineers the win. AU had rallied from an 18-7 halftime deficit, with senior tailback Austin Dwyer running for two third-quarter touchdowns to give the Saxons a three-point lead.
Alfred held RPI to 76 yards passing, but allowed the Engineers 221 yards rushing. The Saxons ran for 102 yards, most coming in the second half, and threw for 139 more. Dwyer finished with 56 yards on nine carries and had rushing TDs of 32 and six yards. His second scoring run with 3:32 left in the third gave AU a 21-18 lead.
Neither offense did much in the fourth before RPI drove 68 yards in 18 plays, setting up Franks for a 40-yard field goal that tied the game at 21-21. His 37-yard game-winner with 1:04 left came after the Engineers drove 30 yards in nine plays from midfield. Franks also had field goals of 31, 50 and 45 yards.
AU had one last chance to drive for a tying score, but the Saxons were intercepted near midfield with 39 seconds left and RPI ran out the clock.
Wesley 30, Salisbury 27
In a classic Route-13 Rivalry game, the Salisbury University football team came up just shy of toppling No. 5 Wesley College Saturday afternoon, giving the Wolverines all they could handle in a game that ended up in Wesley's favor, 30-27.
With five minutes showing on the clock, Salisbury held a 27-24 lead.
Wesley moved the ball 36 yards on its next drive before Salisbury sophomore Nick Anzallo brought the drive to an abrupt halt, picking off Callahan for the Sea Gulls' third interception of the afternoon. Salisbury would go three-and-out, milking the clock to just under two minutes before punting away.
The Wolverines (2-0) were pushed into a deep hole, at fourth-and-21 on Salisbury's 43-yard line, following a pair of incomplete passes and a sack, for a loss of 11 yards, by sophomore David Handy. But Callahan was able to launch a hail mary into the right side of the end zone, which was hauled in by Jeremiah Howe for the game-winning score with 52 seconds remaining in the contest.
Waynesburg 59, Frostburg 49
Junior quarterback Ken Emmons accounted for 521 yards of offense and seven touchdowns, but a pair of fourth quarter fumbles doomed Frostburg State as it fell 59-49 to Waynesburg, Saturday.
In a back-and-forth affair, the two teams accounted for 1,165 yards of offense and 14 touchdowns, but the turnovers cost the Bobcats (0-2) the game late in the fourth.
Emmons threw for 384 yards with four scores and ran for 137 yards and three more touchdowns to spark a Frostburg offense that totaled 609 yards, including 225 on the ground. Emmons tossed his fourth touchdown of the afternoon early in the fourth quarter that tied the game for the Bobcats at 42-42.
